I rely on Nicole to be a sounding board for my most important business ideas. When I need honest feedback and to be held accountable for execution, I go to Your Instructional Designer. I don't trust many people's advice, but I trust Nicole. YID has been a wonderful partner for me."
Michael Huber, Certified Mental Performance Consultant® |
Founder, The Freshman Foundation®
Your Instructional Designer essentially presented me with the critical questions I needed to answer about the specific objectives of the project before it could be properly designed. The team gave me a “bird’s eye view” of the process and what would be ahead. Nicole is obviously very experienced and knowledgeable about this space. A perfect consultant!"
Christen B., Intercultural Consultant
I did a Lightning Round session to enhance an existing manager training program at my company by adding social learning. The session exceeded my already high expectations! We were able to talk through a lot of different elements and basically create a framework for social learning within the program.

How can I prepare for a Lightning Round?
To prepare for your Lightning Round, consider the following:
-
Define your goal for the session: Our first task in the Lightning Round will be to align on what needs to be accomplished in 60 minutes. This should be a specific desired outcome. Having a goal ready will enable us to use the hour most effectively and efficiently.
-
Identify the driving force behind your goal: You've come to us with a goal. What is driving the need to achieve that goal? Help us see the big picture.
-
Identify your available resources for completing the action items: To come up with reasonable next steps, we'll need to be clear on what's available to you.
What deliverables will I receive after a Lightning Round?
After the Lightning Round, you will receive:
-
A transcript of the session
-
A documented summary of key takeaways
-
A list of action items with an associated RACI chart
-
A link to and PDF copy of your Miro board (if applicable)
What is RACI and how is it used in Lightning Rounds?
RACI is a responsibility assignment matrix that helps clarify roles and responsibilities for action items. In the context of a Lightning Round, RACI stands for:
-
Responsible: The person who will do the work
-
Accountable: The person who is ultimately accountable for the completion of the work
-
Consulted: The person who should be consulted for input or expertise
-
Informed: The person who should be kept informed of the progress of the work
Can I apply the fee from my Lightning Round to further services if we decide we need more help?

What do clients say about Lightning Rounds?
Clients who have participated in our Lightning Rounds have reported positive experiences and outcomes. One client, Vanessa Alzate, President of Kirkpatrick Partners, shared her experience
"I reached out to Your Instructional Designer to talk through moving a longstanding program at Kirkpatrick to a cohort-based model. I was unsure how to properly balance what is best for the learner to ensure performance, and what makes sense for the business. The team at Your ID asked insightful and thoughtful questions to prompt thought from me that I had not thought of, and listened to all of my rambling, half-baked thoughts. At the end of the session, I felt confident about the next steps, and that I could balance the business and the learner. I highly recommend booking a Lightning Round to gain that clarity to move you out of being stuck and into action!"
